Activity #2: Use a DV camera and record several clips.  String them together using WinMedia editor and post the final product on a website.

Notes on the video:  Creating this video was a simple process.  I used the DV feature on my digital camera to take 3 short clips of myself and my buddy climbing the YSU rock wall.  They downloaded from the digital camera in *.avi format.  These files were easily transferable to the WinMedia program.  All I had to do is drag and drop the files into the player’s timeline.  This is not my most creative video I have edited.  Additional videos can be found on my facebook site as well as on my Ning page (http://infotechtools.ning.com/video/video/listForContributor?screenName=9wn81wj3yfjl)

 

Activity #3:  Subscribe to one live broadcasting site and record a video of yourself.

Notes on stickam.com: I choose stickam.com for my broadcasting site mainly because of its credentials.  Networks and indie movie studios such as G4: Tech TV and the Sundance movie festival endorse stickam.com.  In fact, there was an advertisement for a live chat with one of the hosts of a G4 tv show displayed on their home page.  In addition, I noticed that stickam.com keeps track of the amount of streams viewed.  As of right now, there are over one billion streams that have been viewed on the site.  Also, stickam.com integrated seamlessly with my audio/video equipment.  I did not have any trouble recording my broadcast or accessing it. 

 

Activity #4: Create an account on WizIQ.com and follow Jalam.  Also, post a meeting time on the Ning.com website.
